The Pillar Men are three powerful humanoids who created the Stone Mask, the artifact that transforms humans into vampires. They were discovered by German researchers in 1938, having been dormant for an unknown period. Their primary goal is to find the Red Stone of Aja, which they believe will turn them into invincible superbeings. The three known Pillar Men are Kars, their leader; Wamuu; and Esidisi. They are the primary antagonists of Part 2, Battle Tendency, and are opposed by Joseph Joestar, who masters the Hamon martial arts technique to defeat them. The Pillar Men are ultimately defeated or exiled, with Kars being cast out after achieving his goal of becoming an invincible superbeing.

In Their Own Story

In 1938, German researchers discover three lifeforms called Pillar Men, powerful humanoids responsible for the creation of the Stone Mask. The Pillar Men awaken and escape in search of the Red Stone of Aja, which will turn them into invincible superbeings. Joseph Joestar, Jonathan's grandson, unites with new allies and masters Hamon to defeat the Pillar Men and their leader, Kars.
