Requiem Arrows
A single, special Arrow that forces Stands to evolve into Requiem forms, unleashing uncontrollable power.
The Requiem Arrow is a special Stand-awakening artifact that appears in the anime series *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind*. It is a single, unique arrow that, when used to pierce a Stand, can evolve that Stand into a more powerful form called a "Requiem" Stand. The source material describes how Jean Pierre Polnareff, after being fatally wounded by Vinegar Doppio, stabs his Stand Silver Chariot with the Arrow, forcing it to evolve into Chariot Requiem. This new Stand goes berserk and uses its ability to swap the souls of living beings across the city of Rome. Later, in the final battle, Giorno Giovanna is stabbed with the Arrow and evolves his Stand Gold Experience into Gold Experience Requiem, which easily overpowers King Crimson and condemns Diavolo to an infinite death loop.

Lore & Background
The Arrow is introduced in the *Golden Wind* season of *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure*. It is brought to the Colosseum in Rome by Jean Pierre Polnareff, who had been hiding it from the boss of Passione, Diavolo. Polnareff explains to Team Bucciarati that the Arrow has the power to evolve a Stand into a Requiem form, granting it abilities beyond normal Stands. When Polnareff is fatally wounded by Doppio, he stabs his own Stand, Silver Chariot, with the Arrow. This causes Silver Chariot to transform into Chariot Requiem, which immediately goes berserk and begins swapping the souls of all living beings in the city. The Arrow is later used by Giorno Giovanna in the final battle against Diavolo. Stabbed with the Arrow, Giorno's Stand Gold Experience evolves into Gold Experience Requiem, which possesses the power to nullify any ability and trap its target in an infinite loop of death. The Arrow is ultimately retrieved by Giorno after Diavolo's defeat.
In Their Own Story
The Arrow's story begins with Jean Pierre Polnareff, who had been searching for it for years. He contacts Team Bucciarati and asks them to meet him at the Colosseum in Rome, where he reveals the Arrow's existence. However, Vinegar Doppio, the alternate personality of Diavolo, arrives first and fatally wounds Polnareff. In his dying moments, Polnareff stabs his own Stand, Silver Chariot, with the Arrow. The Stand evolves into Chariot Requiem, which immediately goes berserk and uses its soul-swapping ability across the city. This causes chaos as Team Bucciarati and Diavolo find themselves in each other's bodies. Later, in the final confrontation, Diavolo attempts to take the Arrow for himself. Giorno Giovanna intercepts him and is stabbed with the Arrow, causing his Stand Gold Experience to evolve into Gold Experience Requiem. This new Stand easily overpowers Diavolo's King Crimson, nullifying its time-skip ability and trapping Diavolo in an infinite death loop where he experiences dying over and over again.
Reader's Guide
The Requiem Arrow is a unique artifact that can only be used once per Stand. To activate its power, a Stand user must be in a life-threatening situation and stab their own Stand with the Arrow. The resulting evolution is unpredictable and often uncontrollable, as seen with Chariot Requiem, which immediately went berserk and began affecting all living beings in the area. The evolved Stand gains abilities that are far beyond its original form, but the user may lose control of it. The Arrow itself is a physical object that can be held and used by anyone, but only a Stand user can use it to evolve their Stand. After being used, the Arrow remains intact and can be used again by another Stand user. The power of the Requiem evolution is tied to the user's deepest desire at the moment of piercing, as seen when Giorno's desire to defeat Diavolo and protect his friends resulted in Gold Experience Requiem's ability to nullify any action and create an infinite death loop.
